A safe place to rest
We put two storage-tote shelters outside for the neighborhood cats. Now we are hoping to find some sturdier ones, too.
We put together two shelters using storage containers and set them up outside ahead of the bad weather. They're simple, but they give the cats another place to get out of the elements.
Lucy, Leo, Lee Lee, Rubber, LG, Love Bug, and Little Scarlet are some of the cats we've been sharing in our recent posts. We see these faces around our home, and we want them to have somewhere to rest when the weather gets rough.
We would love to add more durable, insulated outdoor shelters. If you have one to donate or know where we could find one, please get in touch. You can also check our Current Needs page for ways to help.

Project Khaleesi is growing—one true story at a time
We have begun sharing the community cats who made this work part of our everyday lives.
Project Khaleesi began with the cats who kept finding their way into our lives in Albany, Georgia. We cared for outdoor strays and feral cats out of our own pockets for a long time. After losing Khaleesi unexpectedly, we decided to make that work public in her honor.
Our website now gives Timmy, Stalker, Petunia, Cruella, Rubber, Lee Lee, Oliver, and the other cats we have documented a permanent place for their real stories. We are also beginning to share their personalities through short videos on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok so more people can meet them as we did.
We are still a small, community-led rescue and TNR project. We are building carefully, keeping the cats' stories accurate, and putting responsible recordkeeping in place as support begins to grow.
